Sunrise was a bit earlier now that the days are getting longer, and it was quite a show at 7:00am. We lucked out with mostly clear skies to the east which gave us some amazing pre-dawn colors and a very splendid sunrise.
The lake temperature came in at 34.2F (in swim), but we had to contend with a 28F air temp and a rather bothersome sustained northwest wind. Also, we had some heavy chops that made the swim a bit more arduous than normal. Still, I managed to get in 1/4 mile in the chaotic lake before calling it a day!
