Dave was at L1 this afternoon and ran into Michael, a big OWC fan who’s visiting Chicago from Salem, OR. Since Michael can’t make this weekend’s swim meetup, Dave took a few shots so he could get his Lake Monster stripes while in town. Aren’t you envious?

ONLY A FEW MILLION PEOPLE LIVE NEAR BYE BUT VERY VERY FEW VISIT THE BEACH AND FEW OF THEM SWIM HERE.
Thanks, Dave! I couldn’t believe my luck with the water temperature. I was prepared to come out with frozen toes, but I didn’t expect my worst complaint to be sunburn. ;~) Can’t wait to return for some ice swimming this winter.

You mentioned how your fan club need proff that you did swim in Chicago . The water temperature was 76.5 to 77.2 degrees today which is got to be a record temp for a September swim. In the last 38 years I have swam it generally is in the low 60’s.
