As if on cue, the lake had dipped below 70F for our first fall meetup and gave us a 52F air temp – a not so subtle message that we are no longer on the ascent. But even though things were overcast and a bit blustery, it was a really pleasant early autumn swim with almost mirror flat conditions. And as veteran Lake Monsters know, these are the prime swimming conditions to help you acclimate for the winter – whether you plan to swim or not. So let the grey sky seasons begin!
