Swim Report – October 12, 2019 – Picture Perfect

We switched the meetup to Saturday morning due to the Chicago Marathon, and that turned out to be a great decision in multiple ways. Not only did we avoid the crowds and road closure nightmares, but the weather on Saturday morning was almost identical to the prior Sunday – i.e. clear and sunny skies with a calm lake in the upper 50F’s (56.0F to be exact).

The only curve ball was a 39F air temperature that made lake entry and egress a bit frenetic. But as with last week, I was able to get in my standard 1/2 mile wearing just my jammers and a neoprene cap. Let’s hope the lake temp stays in the 50F+ range for a while!
