Sunrise is still pretty early at 5:30am, but it turned out to be the sweet spot for a lake swim this morning! The water temp came in at 73F (in swim) which was almost even with the 71F air temp. The lake was clear and calm when we got out to L1, but we started to get a slight chop in swim once the cloud cover dissipated. I did my usual 1/2 mile with just goggles and jammers – gotta love the minimalism of summer! Three hours later the thunderstorms moved in, so it looks like we got the best of the day while the rest of the city was still slumbering!
