I was reminded multiple times yesterday evening about the beach hazard warning (“3-6 foot waves”) and dangerous swim conditions. But since you never know what you are going to get while on site, I did not heed them and ended up having one of the best swims of the summer!
The lake came in at a magnificent 73.8F lake with air temperature a very comfortable 65F at 6:00am. There were some slight swells, but they were more in the 1-2 foot range (at most) – so easily swimmable for the three Lake Monsters that defied the caterwauls of the naysayers.
So if you slept in, you missed out!
