The forecast called for the possibility of t-storms this morning, but we lucked out – they didn’t arrive until five hours later! So a whole group of us got in a swim to start off the weekend on a high note.
The lake temperature came in at 75F with calm but somewhat murky water. In addition to several regular swimmers, we had Madeline and Brian show up and join the ultracool ranks of the Lake Monsters. And of course, you should have been out there as well!

once again the weather man lied ! they said from 4am on the skies would be filled with thunder storms and rain…. it rained at 1 pm….
nice flat 75 degree water .
Sunday I took Jelly and Anne to swim. no rain on the radar – zero to 1 mile per hour winds ! it rained 70% of the time this morning and the waves were beating the hell out of the ladder #1 and the park district closed all beaches today because of the heavy wave action. it was fun playing in the waves !
Nice to meet you all. It was a beautiful morning to try have a swim and try my new wetsuit. Great workout!
