(Non) Swim Report – March 20, 2010 – Springtime in Chicago

The irony is that Dave and I were able to get in a full mile yesterday with sunny skies, 68F air temps, and mirror flat swim conditions! So here is winter in Chicago:

Even when the weather stinks, you go to Ladder 1 to investigate. I love that about you! Keep it up! Tomorrow is the first day of “sprint club” in Welles Park. I’ll be there for sure despite the snow! Thanks for the extra inspiration.

You’re welcome! I was actually wearing my thicker windsurfing wetsuit when I filmed that, so I probably could have done a quick in-and-out without any problems. But since I rode my bike down there, I’d have had to pedal all the way home soaking wet in the freezing cold – not fun!

THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE LAST SWIM OF WINTER , NOW WE CAN HOPE AND PRAY THAT 2010 WILL BRING US A REAL SUMMER TO ENJOY.
IF NOT I WILL KEEP THE WINTER GEAR READY JUST IN CASE THE WATER DOSEN’T WARM UP SO I CAN KEEP ON SWIMMING. THE LAST TWO DAYS GAVE US MIRROR FLAT 40 DEGREE WATER AND SUNNY BLUE SKY’S
