While the lake was a bit choppy at 5:35am, the water temp came in at a blazing 55.4F – much better than the 45F air! Also, the lake was as clear as an aquarium, meaning that we’re likely in the middle of the spring turnover. So with this bonus as well as the magnificent sunrise to the east, we had some great views all throughout the swim!
