Lake Michigan gave us a fiery 76F water temp at 5:40am with the outside air coming in at 73F. We had some chops to contend with, but they were fairly minor and more than navigable. I opted for a 1/2 mile point-to-point to Oak Street Beach coupled with a very relaxing walk back to L1. There were very few people out at the lakefront to see the brief but magnificent sunrise. I suspect that the overcast skies deterred them, but they sure missed out!
