Swim Report – April 13, 2013 – Spring Turnover edition!

The air temperature was a crisp 42F at 6:30am, and there was a biting west wind along with some snow flurries out at L1. But the lake temp came in at an astonishing 44F – which means that it has likely turned over!

I decided to do the reverse of last week and start out at Oak Street Beach. There really wasn’t any immersion shock at the beginning, and it was a pretty easy 1/2 mile swim back to L1. And while I was changing out of my swim gear in the parking lot, I experienced no afterdrop whatsoever.

So it looks like it might be time to retire the neoprene until November (or later)!
