Another great morning out at the lake! The water came in at 48°F, with outside temps around 62°F, which made both the pre- and post-swim much more enjoyable. We had some slight chop and a gentle southbound drift/current, but it was practically imperceptible and didn’t impact the swim.
The real prize, though, was the view at 6:00 a.m. An iridescent crescent moon shone through a thin cloud layer, making the swim area feel like a science fiction scene from another planet. But only those out at the lakefront this early got to experience it. So if you slept in, you missed out (again)!
