Sunday morning brought us a 32F lake with air temperatures landing at 15F. But we lucked out with no wind, calm water, and a magnificent sunrise at 7:00am. The lake was no longer completely iced over, so there was ample open water. But it was in a constant state of refreezing, so I had to navigate a lake that was mostly liquid but in the process of turning to ice – much of which accumulated on my hood, gloves, shorty and booties.
But it was a blast as always!
