Swim Report – April 26, 2026 – April Chops

Sunday threw us a bit of a curveball with some washing-machine-like chop, but the 52°F water felt way better than the 43°F air. Since I was running on only four hours of sleep, I stuck with my winter setup, but I acclimated easily and actually had a great swim. That said, the waves made it impossible to keep any kind of steady rhythm.

The 1/4-mile loop was a bit of a grind on the way out, as we were swimming directly into a northbound current, but it was a breeze on the way back. Honestly, the toughest part of the day was trying to change out of wet gear while a pesky north wind whipped at us. Still, it was totally worth it, and you should’ve been there!
